Zine Trade, Debt and Financialisation: What does it have to do with the food on your plate?
This project consisted of the design of a zine that aimed to make complex humanitarian data more tangible and accessible. The challenge was to present statistical information about the humanitarian system—often difficult to interpret—in a way that felt more organic, relatable, and easier to understand.
The zine combined visual design and textual support, ensuring that the content was approachable not only for experts but also for readers who were not familiar with the topic. Through careful balance between numbers, visuals, and narrative, the project transformed abstract figures into a clearer and more human-centered reading experience.
This work was developed in collaboration with Oxfam and CSI, who commissioned the zine as a tool for awareness and communication. By making the information more engaging and comparable to everyday realities, the publication offered an alternative entry point to reflect on the complexity of humanitarian issues.
